Job Summary

The Banquet Server is responsible for providing professional, efficient, and courteous service to guests during banquets, receptions, and other special events. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and break down banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond proactively to requests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist with the transportation of food and beverage items between the kitchen and banquet rooms.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with guests and colleagues
  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

Event Setup:

  • Arrange tables, chairs, linens, silverware, glassware, and centerpieces according to the event plan.
  • Set up buffet stations, food displays, and beverage stations as required.
  • Ensure all decorations and setups meet the client’s specifications and event theme.

Guest Service:

  • Greet guests as they arrive and guide them to their assigned tables.
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Refill drinks and provide additional items as needed throughout the event.
  • Clear plates, glasses, and utensils from tables between courses and after guests have finished their meals.

Event Coordination:

  • Work closely with the event coordinator or banquet manager to understand the specific requirements and timeline of the event.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and prompt food delivery.
  • Handle any special requests or dietary needs with professionalism and efficiency.

Cleanliness and Sanitation:

  • Maintain a clean and tidy banquet area, including the dining space, buffet stations, and service areas.
  • Clean up spills and broken glassware promptly to ensure a safe environment.
  • Ensure all serving equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized.

 

Additional Duties

Post-Event Breakdown:

  • Assist with breaking down tables, chairs, and other setup items after the event.
  • Store equipment and supplies properly and ensure the banquet area is left clean and organized.
  • Report any damaged or missing items to the banquet manager.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with other servers, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure a smooth and successful event.
  • Communicate effectively to address any issues or concerns that arise during the event.
  • Provide support to other team members as needed.

Customer Interaction:

  • Engage with guests in a professional and friendly manner, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide exceptional service to enhance their experience.
  • Collect feedback from guests to help improve future events.

Bartender – if applicable

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, mix and garnish cocktails, and maintain well-stocked bar stations.
  • Greet guests, take drink orders, provide recommendations, serve drinks efficiently, and handle inquiries and complaints.
  • Keep the bar area clean and organized, wash and sanitize tools and glassware, and dispose of empty bottles and trash.
  • Monitor inventory levels, replenish supplies, keep records of stock usage, and assist in bar setup and teardown.
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, verify guests’ age, and practice responsible alcohol service.
  • Coordinate with banquet servers and other staff for smooth service and assist with setup and breakdown.
  • Work with the event coordinator to understand event specifics and adapt to unique needs.
  • Engage with guests professionally and resolve any issues to ensure guest satisfaction.

A cosmetologist (also known as a beautician) enhances clients’ beauty by providing cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments, as well as makeup application, facials, and nail care. They consult with clients to understand their beauty goals, recommend appropriate treatments and products, and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cutting, coloring, styling, and providing various hair treatments.
  • Applying makeup and advising clients on makeup techniques.
  • Conducting facials, and chemical peels
  • Performing manicures and pedicures, including cutting, cleaning, grooming, and painting nails.
  • Engaging with clients to understand their beauty objectives and preferences.

This person would be trained to work at the front desk at Riverwalk Place and our sister property, Rivertown Inn which is located less than a mile away.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 YEAR OF CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
