Jeep Creep, hosted by Riverwalk Place, has been a very successful event for the Gladwin community and local businesses for many years.
As you know, last year Covid prohibited Riverwalk Place from hosting the event.
Each year employees of Riverwalk Place begin in early spring to organize each phase of the October event to make sure it runs flawlessly. Sponsors, vendors, and entertainment are secured. Communication takes place with each of up to 700 attendees. The number of labor hours needed to run an event of this magnitude in a normal year is overwhelming. But everyone knows this is not a normal year labor-wise. Our employees cannot take on an event of this proportion without the full staffing that this economy has denied us.
Will Jeep Creep return in the future?
We don’t know. It has been a blast and we will miss all the Jeepers and the excitement they bring to this community in October. We truly appreciate all the attendees, vendors, and especially the sponsors who have supported us in the past years.
