#6: Dave and Becky Lawson
4290 Betty Lee Blvd, Gladwin, MI 48624
My garden was created by my lifelong passion for flowers and with a lot of help from my husband Dave, I couldn’t have done it without him!! Mainly perennial gardens for a constant variety of color, textures, and height to provide blooms throughout the growing season. The garden soil is enriched with compost that Becky makes with leaves, cooking scraps, and garden trimmings. This property on Wiggins lake has perennial beds around the home and the main garden is on the roadside. A (ditch) converted to a garden with an easy access walking path, with three tiers of gardens to explore. It is my little piece of heaven on earth and my garden of Weeden!
#7: Phil and Nancy Lamb
631 N Antler St, Gladwin, MI 48624
Our garden is an original DYI flower garden. From edging, design, and maintenance, it is a labor of joy. We are always searching for new yard art. Most of the art is handcrafted by the homeowners. The remainder were gifts or found on our various trips. Nancy thanks her crafting friends for the ideas and inspiration. Large flower beds with perennials are abundant and potted plants complete the landscape. Two large Catalpa trees grown from seed are now 30 years old and provide unique seed pods. We like color and our flowers provide that from early spring to the last days of autumn. The display of colorful plants. surrounds the pond, bordering the deck. Take a stroll and enjoy yourself in our garden!
